At Redwood Golden Kennels, our passion for Golden Retrievers runs deep. We have fallen in love with the breed and want to share that same passion with others. Every litter (3 to 5 per year) is carefully pre-planned and thoughtfully selected to produce healthy puppies who are great family dogs and easily get along with babies, children, adults, seniors, and pretty much anyone you can think of. We specifically breed for certain characteristics such as personality, obedience and bonding, a strong gift of empathy and being “tuned in” to their human. Equally important is intelligence, conformation and health, and absolutely no aggression towards people or other animals.

There is a wide variety of color choices among the Golden Retriever breed from pure white to dark red. I truly love and appreciate the entire spectrum but especially the darker red. Since that is my preferred color, it seems logical that I would pattern my breeding plans around what I personally like best. Oh, and of course, the puppies will be eligible to be registered with AKC.

Our Goldens are family members to us, and we treat them with the best loving environment, attention and care possible. Golden Retrievers are an extremely intelligent dog breed whose ability to anticipate needs, love unconditionally and always please, make them the perfect companion dog. Several of my dogs have become service dogs of different types from serving in a court room, serving in children’s hospitals, and comfort dogs to those who deal with anxiety and such.
